Notice the hazardouse duty motor. This is necessary due to the methanol fumes.

With the above processor, I used the electric heating coils to heat the oil (they are disconnected in the photo because I used a propane burner to boil off water from some bad oil). The mixing prop is used during the cleaning of the batches. A circulating pump is connected to the bottom valve and run to the top of the tank for mixing. I tried to use the mixing prop for processing, but it would leave areas at the bottom of the tank “un-turned”. This would cause a problem when working with any oils that had any water left over in them. A simple unit like this one can be created by anyone with a couple of hand tools and a little bit of planning. The hardest part is finding a nice big stainless steel tank like this one. Try looking for metal scrap yards in your neighborhood. If they don’t have a tank you could use, they might be able to help you find one.
